Creating a token on Solana with Smithii costs 0.5 SOL, which includes all on-chain fees for deploying your SPL Token on mainnet. Additionally, you can revoke Mint and Freeze Authority for 0.1 SOL each, which is recommended to build trust with your community. Compared to hiring a developer or using other platforms, Smithii offers one of the most affordable options in the market, no coding required.

Not really, because Solana itself charges for it. A token needs a mint account and a metadata account, and both have to be rent-exempt to survive: about 0.0015 SOL and 0.005 SOL respectively, plus roughly 0.002 SOL for the first token account. That is around 0.009 SOL the network keeps no matter which tool you use, so a creator advertised as free is either passing that on to you at the end or covering it somewhere else. What varies between tools is the part on top, and what you get for it.

Yes. Smithii Token Creator is a no-code tool. Just fill in your token name, symbol, supply, decimals, description, and upload your logo. Click one button and your token is deployed on Solana mainnet in seconds. No programming knowledge, no command line, no Anchor or Rust experience needed. Everything is handled by our audited smart contracts.

SPL Token is the original Solana token standard: simple, widely supported and compatible with all DEXes and wallets. Token-2022 (also called Token Extensions) is the newer standard that supports advanced features like transfer fees (tax tokens), confidential transfers, and more. Smithii is one of the few platforms that supports both standards, so you can choose the one that fits your project.

Every Solana token has three authorities that control it: Mint Authority (can create more tokens, increasing supply), Freeze Authority (can freeze any wallet's token balance), and Update Authority (can change the token's metadata like name, image, description), revoking these authorities is strongly recommended if you want your community to trust your token. Buyers on DexScreener and Birdeye check if authorities are revoked before buying.

Most Solana tokens use 6 or 9 decimals. The standard for fungible tokens is 9 decimals (same as SOL itself). Use 6 decimals if your token represents a stablecoin or a currency-like asset. Use 9 decimals for memecoins and general-purpose tokens. If you're unsure, go with 9. It's the most common and compatible option.

During token creation on Smithii, you can upload your logo image directly and fill in your token's name, symbol, and description. Smithii handles the metadata upload automatically: your logo and info are stored on decentralized storage and linked to your token on-chain. If you need to update your metadata later, you can use our Update Token Metadata tool, as long as you haven't made your token immutable yet.

Yes. Smithii Token Creator is a decentralized application (dApp). When you create a token, you and only you receive full control (Mint, Freeze, and Update Authority). Smithii never has access to your tokens or wallet. Our smart contracts are audited by independent development teams and used by 7,000+ creators across Solana, Ethereum, BNB Chain, and other networks. Every transaction is verifiable on-chain.

After creating your token, here's the typical launch path: 1) Revoke authorities: Mint and Freeze, to build trust. 2) Create a liquidity pool: our Liquidity Pool Creator on Raydium makes your token tradeable. 3) Generate volume: the Volume Bot gets you visibility on DexScreener and Birdeye. 4) Airdrop to your community: the Multisender distributes tokens at scale. Smithii has all the tools you need to go from token creation to a full launch.

Create a Solana token Without Coding

Smithii's Solana Token Creator lets you deploy a custom Solana token in minutes. Set the token name, symbol, decimals, supply, description, and logo, then sign from your wallet. The tool handles the metadata upload and on-chain deployment automatically.

Each token costs 0.5 SOL to create, including the fees needed for Solana token creation. You receive full Mint Authority, Freeze Authority, and Update Authority in your connected wallet. From there you can revoke Mint Authority, revoke Freeze Authority, or update metadata at any time.

Tokens created with Smithii are standard Solana tokens compatible with Phantom, Jupiter, Raydium, DexScreener, Birdeye, and the broader Solana DeFi ecosystem. There is no proprietary lock-in.

What Creating a Solana Token Actually Costs

It is worth knowing the arithmetic before you compare tools, because part of the price is not set by any of them. A token on Solana needs a mint account, and if you want a name and a logo, a metadata account too. Both must be rent-exempt or the network reclaims them, which costs about 0.0015 SOL and 0.005 SOL. The first token account that holds your supply adds roughly 0.002 SOL. Call it 0.009 SOL that Solana keeps, whoever you use.

So a token creator advertised as free is not giving you those accounts for nothing. It is passing the rent on at the end, or covering it and making the money elsewhere. That is not necessarily a bad deal, but it does mean the honest comparison is between what each tool charges on top and what that buys.

Smithii charges 0.5 SOL, and it covers the whole thing: the rent above, the metadata upload, and the token live on mainnet with the mint, freeze and update authorities in your wallet rather than ours. Revoking mint or freeze afterwards is 0.1 SOL each, and it is optional. There is nothing withheld and nothing to upgrade to.

Solana token vs Token-2022: Choose the Right Solana Token Standard

Most Solana projects should start with a standard Solana token because it has the broadest compatibility across wallets, DEXes, launchpads, and analytics platforms. It is the best default for memecoins, community tokens, governance tokens, and simple utility tokens.

Token-2022 is useful when your token needs advanced extensions such as transfer fees, interest-bearing behavior, or other programmable features. If your launch does not need those mechanics, standard SPL is usually simpler and easier for traders to understand.

After Creating Your Token: The Solana Launch Checklist

Once your token is live, finalize your metadata, then revoke Mint Authority and revoke Freeze Authority to show holders that supply and accounts cannot be changed unexpectedly. When branding is final, make the token immutable.

Next, create a liquidity pool on Raydium so the token can trade, then use the Solana Volume Bot to generate makers and chart activity. For community distribution, use Token Multisender.

For Pump.fun launches, consider using the Pump.fun Bundler to create and buy your token in the same bundle, then grow your holder base with the Buy Holders tool.
