Wrap & Unwrap MON
Monad Wrapper
Monad Wrapper: turn MON into WMON and back in one transaction, which is what the pools and DeFi contracts here actually hold.
How to use the Monad Wrapper
- Connect your Monad wallet
- Choose Wrap (MON to WMON) or Unwrap (WMON to MON)
- Enter the amount you want to convert
- Confirm the fee transaction and then the wrap transaction
- Your WMON (or MON) is updated within seconds
Benefits of Wrapper
Convert MON and WMON in a couple of clicks, no coding required
Required by many DEX routers, DeFi protocols and liquidity pools
Unwrap partial amounts anytime, WETH9 supports it
Non-custodial, the conversion happens on-chain through your wallet

Wrapping converts your native MON into an ERC-20 token (WMON) at a 1:1 ratio. Many DeFi protocols and DEX routers only accept ERC-20 tokens, so they require the wrapped form.
Yes. Unlike some wrapped assets, WMON (WETH9) supports partial unwrapping, so you can convert back any amount up to your wrapped balance.
Yes. Wrapping and unwrapping are always 1:1. You only pay the flat Smithii fee plus the network gas for the transaction.
Wrap and Unwrap MON Instantly on Monad
A wrapped native token like WMON (WETH, WBNB, WAVAX, WPOL and so on) is an ERC-20 that represents the chain's native coin at a 1:1 ratio. On Monad, many DeFi protocols and smart contracts require the ERC-20 wrapped form (WMON) instead of the raw MON. This tool converts between them without any coding.
Wrapping deposits your MON into the canonical WMON contract and mints the same amount of the wrapped token. Unwrapping withdraws it back to MON. Unlike some chains, EVM wrapping supports partial amounts, so you can unwrap exactly what you need.

When Do You Need WMON?
You typically need WMON when providing liquidity, swapping on a DEX, or interacting with lending and staking protocols on Monad that only accept ERC-20 tokens. If you're adding liquidity with a MON pair, most routers work with WMON under the hood. This wrapper handles the conversion for you in a couple of clicks.
